Unique Features of Toronto Luxury Homes

The advantage of Toronto Luxury Homes is the many unique features that can be found. One that we looked at had the most amazing indoor pool we have ever seen (see video below!). It was constructed using over sixty tons of beautiful granite from a quarry in southern Ontario. They created bridges, walkways and three waterfalls two with caves where you could sit behind the waterfalls. There is a granite water slide from the hot tub to the pool.

The bottom of the pool was designed to look like the bottom of a shallow lake. The water itself was ‘salt water’, incredibly soft with no ‘stinging’ of the eyes that one finds with ocean water. In this particular pool the water had a ‘proprietary’ treatment to actually ‘energize’ the water. The pool has fiber optic underwater  lighting complete with color wheel to create different ‘moods’. There are underwater speakers no less!

Leading down to the pool is a ‘cottage’ type structure with a cedar deck, that houses a granite clad steam room, a change room with bathroom and a massage room. The front of the ‘cottage’ has an electric grill, warming drawer, refrigerator and dishwasher.

The mechanics behind this beautiful pool are equally impressive. To begin with you enter the pool through double glass doors that are pressurized to ensure that humidity stays in the pool area. This is certainly effective as you would never know from anywhere else in the house that there was a pool there.

The air flow in the pool room is so efficient that there is never any condensation on the many floor to ceiling windows even in sub zero temperatures.

Finally, you would think that with all the glass and hard surfaces that the pool room itsel would be noisy. Not so, due to the special sound absorbing ceiling.

This is an incredible pool that one can only find in unique Toronto Luxury Homes.

Toronto Luxury Homes

While living in a multimillion-dollar home has its perks, it’s also a lot of financial responsibility owning  Toronto Luxury Homes. Some new homeowners overlook the details and work required to own Toronto luxury homes. However, it’s often worth the upkeep.
“Real luxury living is the features and the peace of mind and luxury of a hotel but the warmth, privacy and hominess of your own home..
Pampered in Privacy
If  your Toronto Luxury Home is an apartment in the city, no one comes into the lobby of the apartment building without being screened or announced.
“The buildings have beautiful lobbies filled with fresh flowers, a white-gloved doorman and a car greeter. It’s a very stressless lifestyle. Most of the buildings offer mind-boggling views of the city so that you’re physically and psychologically above it all. You have silence and a feeling of being powerful.”
Other amenities include first-class spas with private massage rooms, swimming pools,  and  beauty and fitness services. If you don’t want to have your manicure and pedicure downstairs, you can have it in your apartment. As for groceries, the concierge will fill your refrigerator with whatever you need. Most luxury apartments also feature heated floors, wine coolers and state-of-the-art kitchens.
A Toronto Luxury Home today can be from thirty to forty minutes from the core  with complete privacy and your own private ‘nature’ reserve with ponds and trails. Today, all the amenities from shopping, schooling and staffing are all available outside the ‘city limits’.
The Price of Luxury Living
A luxury home owner who prefers to remain anonymous describes his property north of Toronto. Purchased incomplete in 2005 for $3 million, the 12,500-square-foot home features a salt water pool, an attached 10-person whirlpool, a cinema that seats nine, full-size gym, billiards room and wine bar and cellar. He says he put more than $750,000 into the home’s lavish details.
. Including electricity, landscape, pool maintenance and other utility bills, he estimates spending about $6,000 each month just for upkeep.
With all his expenses, he admits budgeting is very important for any luxury homeowner, no matter what state the economy is in. “You have to pay close attention to where you’re putting your money,” he says. “Real estate still remains a good investment. Even though things are deteriorating, now is still a good time to buy. The decline of the stock market is far more severe than the decline of housing.”
He advises that now is the best time to purchase a luxury home, but buyers who are purchasing solely for investment should be cautious and figure in the price of running and preserving the home.
“Make sure you have not only figured the cost of home and mortgage, but also the utilities and maintenance,” he says. “This is important in calculating the home’s affordability. Also, you would want to buy in an area that you feel has a good growth potential.
All things considered, owning a luxury home certainly has its perks. But keep in mind that the home price is just the beginning of what you should expect to pay. Luxury living is not just about buying an expensive property, Whether  it’s an apartment with a terrace on the top floor ,or an estate in the country, it’s a lifestyle that requires maintenance and responsibility.
